Graduated in Health Biology from the University of Alcalá. Erasmus scholarship at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
In 2018 I obtained the Master’s degree in Microbiology Applied to Public Health and Research in Infectious Diseases, University of Alcalá, doing my Master’s thesis (TFM) in the Viral Infection and Immunity Unit of the National Microbiology Centre, where I have been working for almost 2 years. In my TFM, I studied the impact of HIV/HCV co-infection on HIV viral splicing under the tutelage of Dr. Veronica Briz and Dr. Mayte Coiras.
Since then, I have been developing my skills and knowledge mainly about HIV and HIV/HCV co-infection. Currently, under the direction of Dr. Briz, I am pursuing my doctoral studies (Doctoral Program in Health Sciences, University of Alcalá) evaluating the impact of HCV infection on the HIV reservoir, analyzing potential differences in the size and splice of the HIV reservoir, as well as in integration sites, among others.
