MD PhD from the Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche.
Investigadora de Enfermedades Infecciosas de ISABIAL.

Before I finished my specialty in Internal Medicine on 1997, I know that I wanted to dedicate myself to the field of infectious diseases. In 1998, I started working in the Infectious Unit of the Hospital of Alicante, taking a consultation of patients with HIV infection and aids. Although HIV infection and aids were more control at that time we still found ourselves with very complex patients, contributing to improve their quality of life and morbidity and mortality was a great clinical challenge for me.

My interest in HIV and AIDS led me to study and treat other patients with infectious diseases and to expand my clinical and research knowledge in this area of Medicine. Most of my work as a clinical and researcher has been dedicated to HIV / AIDS and infectious diseases, participating in more than 80 clinical trials and research projects.

I am currently Head of the Unit of Infectious Diseases of the General Hospital of Alicante and coordinator of the program of control of antibiotics PROA.
